If we were having coffee..

If we were having coffee the first thing I would be excited to tell you is about my experience of participating in the Write Tribe Festival Of Words. This was my first writing challenge and it was the most delightful experience for me. Writing a post daily was an enriching experience and I learnt to be more organised and disciplined. It was such a pleasure reading and commenting on various articles published by fellow bloggers. The most surprising aspect for me was to read such varied perspectives on the same topic. The power of words and mind was rightly showcased through this challenge. From ideation to execution on a daily basis was challenging but was extremely satisfying.  Today is the last day of the most exciting festival and it is kind of a bittersweet moment for me to share this with you. While I am happy I was able to complete the challenge successfully, but I am a bit sad too that this is my last post for the challenge.

Now that the weekend is approaching, I am going to make up for the lost time and spend more time with my daughter. We have planned to play scrabble and do various craft activities together.

I am looking forward to the weekend as it will be my time to unwind and relax. Maybe I will catch up on the latest movie release this week. It has been quite some time since I watched one and Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Toilet –Ek Prem Katha’ seems promising.

Sunday morning I shall spend in cooking a sumptuous lunch for my family followed by a much needed afternoon nap.

Sunday evening I will plan for the next week. You stay tuned for more on it. There is something exciting for your kids coming up on the blog. In the meantime visit my posts for the Write Tribe Festival Of Words #6 in case you have missed reading them.

Day 1: My Treasure That I Value The Most

Day 2: The Resources I Use For My Blog.

Day 3: Home Is Where The Heart Is!

Day 4: A Day In The Life Of A Single Dad

Day 5: Dear Write Tribers,

 Day 6: Featuring Anupama Dalmia

I would love to hear from you too.

How was your week?

  1. Congratulations on completing your first ever writing challenge. 🙂

This post made me think of the first ever time I participated in one. It was the April AtoZ challenge in 2015, and boy was that one hell of a ride – equal parts exhausting and exhilarating!

Glad you had loads of fun with your debut challenge. Hope it’s inspired you to write more.

P.S. Thanks for participating in Chatty Blogs. Hope to see you in the monthly link up more often.

  2. Write tribe festival of words was indeed one of the best writing events, I too learnt a lot and got to read few amazing bloggers/blogs. Would love to know more about DIY or crafts.

    1. Thanks a lot. It was a big achievement for me too since I was also not a disciplined blogger until WTFOW happened. That gave me the courage to attempt MyFriendAlexa

  3. It is so lovely to hear your weekend plans. Yes, we would miss the write tribe festival until next year. It was a project on which we all were working together.

  4. Oh, I agree Aesha. FOW is the best thing that has happened to me in a while. I would love to watch the movie and cook on Sunday too. But oh, I can’t 🙁

  5. It was a delight reading your posts dear friend. This challenge has been quite a rewarding experience for me though I have given up on family time. I plan to make up on that over the weekend. It’s my birthday tom so definitely a special day to look forward to

  6. It was a busy week with lots of writing and reading, wasn’t it? I have more visiting and reading to do over the weekend. I play scrabble online. 🙂 Have fun, Aesha. Congrats on completing the challenge. 🙂

  7. Scrabble is a lovely game. My kids are still very young for it, else I love to play with them. This weekend, I have some parties to attend and I am planning to visit a temple. The experience in WTFOW is awesome. Even I am amazed to read different perspectives of the same prompt.

  8. Hope your weekend goes wonderfully well, and you have fun with your daughter. 🙂 Scrabble sounds wonderful. Haven’t played Scrabble offline since college days, I think.

  9. I’m not very crafty and would love to see what craft work you and your little girl do!
Had fun as well, this festival is unique!

    1. Sure Zainab , I shall share pictures with you. I am not good too, but my daughter loves when I sit along with her and she does works her hands with cutting and pasting!
