Today was a bright sunny morning. Radhika switched on the radio after months. It was 6 months now since Madhav had suffered the stroke and Radhika wondered how her life had come to a standstill. But today was a bright day. They saw some hope. Madhav had smiled first time after 6 months when he could move his limbs for a brief period. It was a moment of great happiness for the entire family.
‘Lag ja gale ke, phir yeh hassin raat ho na ho’ played on the radio and Radhika’s thoughts went back to the fateful day. But today was different, that day she had feared for her family, her mind was grappled with insecurities. Now she was feeling more hopeful with the improvement that Madhav was making. Today she didn’t think ‘raat ho na ho’ she just wished that Madhav will soon take her in his arms soon…
Lag ja gale…. lag ja gale she hummed all along…
