“I am just a child who has never grown up. I still keep asking these ‘how’ and ‘why’questions. Occasionally I find an answer.”
That’s how renowned theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author the great Stephen Hawking lived his life – in pursuit of knowledge.
I do not understand physics and never studies physics too but whenever I looked for motivation, I searched for quotes from Stephen Hawking.
Today when I got to know that he has left for heavenly abode, I thought I should share 10 inspirational quotes which have motivated me and got me back on my feet to fight against all odds.
However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at! Share on X
I read this quote daily before I go to sleep. In my life, I chose many career options but wasn’t very successful. Sometimes I wondered, what have I done in my life that my daughter can take inspiration from. I didn’t want her to see me as a failure. That’s when blogging happened. I started blogging when I thought life is difficult, but then Stephen Hawking’s quote made me look at life positively and now though I might not be a very successful or top blogger I am definitely a more motivated one who aims at success and happiness every day.
Here are few more of his words of wisdom which are an integral part of my daily life now.
“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.”
“Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious”.
I have time and again mentioned these quotes to my daughter as well. I want her to ask as many questions and be curious to learn more.
“No one undertakes research in physics with the intention of winning a prize. It is the joy of discovering something no one knew before”.
“Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it.”
“God may exist, but science can explain the universe without the need for a creator.”
“There is no unique picture of reality”
“I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.”
Stephen Hawking’s words will keep inspiring many across the globe and he will live in our hearts forever.
As he said,
“I’m not afraid of death, I’m in no hurry to die. I have so much to do first”
Rest in Peace Stephen Hawking.
