This quote is from ‘Pride and Prejudice’. Jane Austen is my favourite author. Her work has always been a source of inspiration for me. I remember distinctly during my class 7 summer break, my mother got me abridged versions of Jane Austen’s books ‘Pride & Prejudice’ and ‘Emma’. My mom wanted me to be an independent, level headed, thinking girl as I grow up. Though I enjoyed reading the books, I understood the essence of the message of the books that I read as a child only after motherhood. When I gave birth to a girl child- my daughter. Until then, I was a person who would get scared and intimidated by others. There have been tough situations and I have been strong enough to face them but when it came to do something for myself I would hold back. I didn’t have the will and would lack the determination to achieve my dreams.

I too am a Jane Austen for that matter i think i am a feminist of a Kind, which is not anti Men lol. I love the way Mothers are always on the move, i think raising a child in itself is a big achievement.
I’m also doing this write up soon! As mums we wear a lot caps and I feel we are the real wonder women, all of us 😉
